Environmental Policy
Afrigen Energy Ltd is mainly a clean energy power generating company providing expertise in solar, wind, geothermal, thermal and hydroelectricity, environment among others. Afrigen Energy Ltd regards the protection of the environment and the minimisation of environmental impact to be a major consideration in the running of our business and in the execution of our contracts.
We recognise that our projects can have a significant impact on the environment and endeavour to identify solutions that are sustainable and provide environmental enhancement or if that is not possible to avoid, minimise or mitigate environmental damage.
Our policy is that our activities are performed in a manner that satisfies Client needs, provides environmental protection and meets relevant legislation and other requirements to which the Company subscribes that relate to our environmental aspects.
The environmental objectives of Afrigen Energy Ltd are to:
- Meet and where appropriate exceed all relevant legislation and other requirements
- Pursue a policy aimed at pollution prevention, minimising environmental impact and maximising opportunities for environmental enhancement
- Minimise waste arising, promote recycling, reduce energy consumption and where possible, to work with suppliers who themselves have sound environmental practices
- Develop an environmentally friendly workforce, through formal training and on-the-job support to achieve our environmental standards
- Set and review specific objectives and targets annually, to drive continuous improvement throughout the Company
